Anna Lois Buckwalter, 84, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. Lois was the wife of David W. Buckwalter, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage this past November. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Ricardo and Anna Mae (Stehman) Housman. Lois was a homemaker, and loved her Lord, family, and friends. She faithfully studied her Bible every morning, enjoyed oil painting, knitting, and was a faithful member of Community Bible Church, Marietta.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son Donald H. husband of Denise (Kline) Buckwalter of Columbia; three daughters Deborah Pedersen and Ann Longenecker both of East Petersburg, Barbara wife of Bradford Schmitt of Mount Joy; eight grandchildren Sarah, Lael, Andrew, Jacob, Daniel, Emily, Nicole, and Hannah; eight great-grandchildren Seth, Esther, Stella, Cecily, Sid, James, Andrew, and Silas; and a sister Mary Jane Peffley of Mt. Airy, MD. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Gregory, and two brothers Harold & James Housman.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation with family at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
