Anna B. “Nancy” Gottschalk, 86, of Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly, Monday May 19, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center. “Nancy” as she was known by her family and friends, was the wife of William F. “Bill” Gottschalk, Jr., and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on May 6th of this year. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Anna (Faber) Bissinger, and sister of the late John Albert Bissinger. Nancy was a librarian at Rhawnhurst Elementary School in N.E. Philadelphia for 20 years. She worked 40 plus years with her husband on the Masonic Blood Donor Club. She was also a librarian for Temple University, and established the reference and set-up for the medical library at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She was a member of the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel at the Masonic Village. Nancy was an avid reader, her favorites being historical and mystery books. She also enjoyed camping, square dancing, and film appreciation classes.
Surviving in addition to her husband Bill is a son John William “Jack” Gottschalk of Harrisburg, and a daughter Marjorie Gottschalk-Trone wife of Gerald Trone of Williamsburg, VA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment in the Sell Columbarium will be private. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Friday at Sell chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
