Ann W. Plogman, 102, of Mount Joy, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. Born Anna Alice Wimmer in Glen Burnie, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Anna Velenosky. She was the loving wife of 64 years to the late William V. “Bill” Plogman, Sr., who passed away in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her brother Frank Wimmer, and sisters Dorothea Neus, and Jean Lancaster. 

Ann is survived by her three children William V. Plogman, Jr. of Great Cacapon, WV; Barbara G. Plogman of Baltimore, MD; and Lisa P. Lewis, married to Kenneth S. Lewis of Manheim, PA.; her two grandchildren Meghan Lewis Fisher, married to Kyle Fisher of Marietta, PA, and Michael J. Lewis of Manheim, PA; and one great granddaughter Madelyn Lewis Fisher of Marietta, PA. 

Raised on a produce farm, Ann moved to Baltimore as young woman, where for she volunteered for the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. She started her professional career in advertising before moving on to banking. Her banking career spanned 20 years, beginning as a teller, then becoming a branch manager and then finishing her career as manager of a mortgage loan banking department. She and her husband retired to Ocean Pines, MD for nearly 30 years where she enjoyed golf, gardening, travel and being a member of the Questers before returning to Baltimore in her later years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly with her grandchildren.
