Alta G. Shelly

     Alta G. Shelly, 86, of Lancaster, formerly of Manheim and Lititz, died peacefully Sunday, October 1, 2023 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Abram H. and Minnie (Ginder) Shelly.  Alta was a knitter at the former Hemmerich Industries of Denver.  She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Lancaster, and enjoyed listening to music and gardening.

     Surviving are three sisters, Della G. Shelly, Lancaster, Caroline G. Shelly, Mount Joy, and Joan G. Kutz, Portland, OR.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Harold G., Abraham G., and Elam Shelly and three sisters Elva G., Ida G., and Verna G. Shelly and a brother-in-law, Cecil Kutz.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 10:30 AM.  There will be a time of visitation and viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alta’s memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
