Allene T. Lovell, 59, of Elizabethtown, died peacefully at home on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of Bertha Ree (Mobley) Jones of Centerville, VA., and the late Alfreda Jones. Allene retired from working in property management services. She received bachelor of science degrees in both Chemistry and Biology from George Mason University. Allene attended Christ The King Community Church, Lancaster. Throughout the years she served as a volunteer for the Domestic Violence Center, Lancaster, and area Prison Ministries. Her interests included: craft projects of all types, scrap books, cards, sewing, and crocheting. She loved her family and she cherished the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Allene never met a stranger in her life because everyone she met soon became her friend or someone that she would help because of her deep compassion and love for people in all circumstances. She had a servant’s heart with no limits.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters: Jennifer L. wife of Scott Morris of Lancaster, Jessica A. Lovell of Elizabethtown, a son, Daniel A. husband of Amy Lovell of Lancaster, four grandchildren: Leah, Jadon, Andrew, Vincent, and two sisters: Anita Williams of Centerville, VA., and Adrien Jones of Richmond, VA. She was loved by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Allene’s memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 4:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster at a later date.
