Aldus E. "Al" Baum

Aldus E. “Al” Baum, 53, of Columbia, passed Friday May 2, 2014. Al was the loving husband of Shelley M. Baum and they celebrated their 30th anniversary in May. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Aldus S. and Elaine (Earhart) Baum of Columbia.
Al was a graduate of Hempfield High School, class of 1979, and a graduate of Penn State with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Al was owner and president of Bass Mechanical of Elizabethtown.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his two sons, Aldus Christian Baum and Casey L. Baum, daughter Jade, wife of J.D. Dunivant; two grandchildren Amelia and Jackson; brother Guy, husband of Angie Baum; and sister Rebekah, wife of Kevin Leaman.
Aldus will be remembered for his love of family, selflessness, and remarkable sense of humor. He enjoyed salt water sport fishing, and was an avid outdoor enthusiast

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at LCBC Manheim, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim PA (Plaza Entrance) on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be private.
