Aldo E. Tempesta, 73, of Mount Joy, formerly of Upper Darby, died Monday, September 12, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Marie (Casalunova) Tempesta and they celebrated 42 years of marriage this past March. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Pannunzio) Tempesta. Aldo had worked as a warehouse clerk for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in Broomall, PA for 25 years before retiring in 2000. Aldo was a member of St. Peter Catholic church, Elizabethtown, was a volunteer for the Upper Darby Fire Co., loved WW II history, was a train enthusiast, and enjoyed watching the “3 Stooges”.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Matthew of Mount Joy; a daughter Krista wife of James Langdon of Pickerington, OH; two grandchildren Aidan and Erik; and two sisters Anna Michetti of Philadelphia and Elizabeth Ginnamora of Erie, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, on Thursday September 15, 2016 at 12 noon. There will be a public viewing on Thursday at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy PA from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield PA on Monday September 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM.
