Ada E. Almodovar, 82, of Wrightsville and Hudson, FL, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Christiana, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Annie (Smoker) Stoltzfus. Ada was the loving wife of Ramon Almodovar and they celebrated 45 years of marriage in October 2014. Ada was an active member of New Life Ministries in Hudson, FL. She was also a member of the Farm Women’s Society of Lancaster. She enjoyed crocheting, but received her greatest joy when she was around her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son Robert husband of Brenda Boyd of Wrightsville, four daughters Christine wife of Warren Raffensberger of Hudson, FL, Robin Petzold of Lancaster, Marie Almodovar of Manheim, Andrea wife of Jason Pabon, Lancaster; a step-son Ramon Almodovar of Nicaragua, two step-daughters Margarita Torres and Juanita Hernandez both of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and a sister Kermita Welch of Hudson, FL. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a step-son Nick Almodovar, a sister Carol Dishman, and three brothers Herbert, Milton and Kermit Stoltzfus.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at LCBC (Loft Auditorium) 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim on Monday January 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. There will be a public viewing at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Please park in the rear of the church and please use the Plaza Entrance. The family would like to invite those attending the service to join with them for light refreshments following the service.
