Aaliyah Destiny Boyer, 10, of Manheim passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington, Delaware. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Vincent S. Boyer of Kennett Square and Crystal Blackburn of Newark, Delaware. Aaliyah was a 4th grade student at H.C. Burgard Elementary School, Manheim. She attended Manheim Brethren In Christ Church where she was involved in Kid's Club. Aaliyah enjoyed swimming, karate, basketball, singing and playing the violin. Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, E.J. Navarrete of Delaware, Vincent Boyer Jr. of West Chester, four sisters, Kayla Lindsey of Manheim, Jessica Boyer of West Chester, Marrisa Boyer of Avondale and Netalia Boyer of Kennett Square, maternal grandparents, James Jr. husband of Cheri Blackburn of Elkton, Maryland, Bengie wife of Richard Lindsey of Manheim, paternal grandparents, Esther Boyer of Oxford and Arthuro Perez of Nottingham. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by, paternal grandfather, Miguel Medina, paternal great grandmother, Edith Briley and a cousin, David J. Powers. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Corby Burkholder officiating. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
